Theory Test/ Training
Since 1 Feb 2001 it has been compulsory for all pupils wishing to take their bike test to pass a theory test. Theory training involves usung a computer with a CD ROM, the instructor will go through the questions with you and also give you the chance to test yourself. If you have access to a computer you may borrow a CD to practice at your own pace in your own time.
Under current legislation anyone wishing to ride a bike on the road must complete a CBT course. Compulsory basic training is not a test, however you have to demonstrate your competance before being issued with a certificate.
If you are 19 or over it is now possible to do your training on a restricted 500cc bike for an A2 licence, this means once you have passed your test you can ride a bike which is upto 47bhp. If you are 24 or over you can take your test on a 600cc bike for an A licence, once you have passed your test you are not restricted to which bike you can ride.
If you are a qualified rider, we will train you in advanced topics to improve your skill and safety on the road.
Advanced topics to your requirements will be covered. Whether you wish to improve your technique in cornering or wish to learn how to handle pillion passengers, we can tailor a course to suit you.
